BACKGROUND

OBJECTIVES

Track & Field aspires to instill in Bukit Viewans a greater appreciation for the sport as well as qualities of sportsmanship, teamwork and strength of character.

We train twice a week at the Bukit Gombak Stadium or school and focus on various aspects of fitness as well as building the mental capacity of the students. The training is physically and mentally challenging, which helps develop resilience and tenacity among the athletes.

The track and field training programme focus on the following:·

Strength training·
Cardio-vascular training·
Running drills·
Team bonding activities through games, camps and excursions

Student Outcomes:

Learn the skills and training methods for their respective events.
Excel by improving their personal best in the events for which they are representing the school.
Experience leadership and character development through opportunities provided during the course of the CCA programme.

48 students were registered for NSG Track & Field for C & B Divisions
27 students were registered for NSG X-Country for C & B Divisions
11 students were registered for Pesta Sukan

B & C Boys & Girls 4x100m Teams qualified for the Semi-Finals.
B & C Boys 4x400m Teams qualified for the Finals.

B Boys – Dylan Ng Yu Loong (4D) 400m Semi-Finalist, 800m 9th
B Boys – Jeyaseelan Sai Hayagreev (3G) 10th in 800m, 13th in 1500m
B Boys – Sumedha Dathathri Rao (4B) 200m Semi-Finalist, 8th in 100m
C Boys – Anand Praveen (2A) 3rd in 800m, 11th in 1500m
C Boys – Jayden Ho (2F) 400m Semi-Finalist
