Environmental Club

Established in 2005, the Environmental Club aims to nurture environmentally-conscious students through sustainability projects, community involvement, and hands-on learning experiences. Members apply scientific knowledge and practical skills through activities such as urban farming, aquaponics, hydroponics, and eco-product creation. Through environmental initiatives and community outreach programmes, students develop teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for environmental sustainability.

The Environmental Club aims to:

• Develop environmental awareness and sustainability practices

• Equip students with teamwork, communication, and leadership skills

• Provide opportunities for hands-on scientific learning and research

• Encourage community involvement through VIA and outreach projects

• Develop planning and organisational skills through environmental initiatives

Members have opportunities to:

• Participate in environmental events such as Singapore World Water Day, Earth Hour, and Youth for the Environment Day

• Attend leadership programmes including the Student Environmental Leadership Conference (SELC)

• Take part in learning journeys to places such as NTU Green Campus and Gardens by the Bay

• Engage in sustainability projects including urban farming, aquaponics, and hydroponics

• Conduct outreach activities such as Ecolibrium ecotrails for primary school students
