LEAP Award 2025

The LEAP Award, which stands for “Listening Educator for Advancement and Progress Award”, was launched by the late former President S R Nathan in 2011 and awarded by Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan annually to recognise exceptional teachers who have made a positive impact in nurturing their students from the heart.
Ms Joy Chen was chosen from a pool of 329 nominated teachers to emerge as one of the 20 to be granted this award. Do watch the video below to hear her belief and what the students have to say about Ms Joy. (2.39 to 3.10)

Most Inspiring Tamil Teachers' Award 2025

Mr Stalin Ramasamy was among the winners for the Most Inspiring Tamil Teachers' Award, given for Tamil Language teachers who has made significant contributions to the teaching and learning of Tamil Language using innovative methods, including the effective use of educational technology to make lessons more engaging and interactive.

Distinguished Chinese Language Teachers Award 2022
Ms Charline Ang (fourth from right in photo) recently clinched the Distinguished Chinese Language Teacher Award, given in recognition of exemplary effort in teaching the Chinese Language. Ms Ang was chosen from a pool of more than 475 nominated teachers to emerge as one of the 8 to be granted this award.

SAF Merit Scholarship
Our alumnus Florian Kuhan Ableitner (rightmost in photo) was awarded the prestigious SAF Merit Scholarship! Florian completed his diploma in Aeronautical Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic and will be studying Aerospace Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University.

SCDF award for saving a man's life
We are proud of Darryl Lee (4D 2021) who raced as a first responder to someone who just had a heart attack.

As Peer Support Leader Vice-President, Darryl was naturally other-centred and as Track & Field Vice-Captain, his training gave him speed.
What also served Darryl to serve others was first aid he had picked up from a Healthcare Elective Module in school. He had received an award for good performance in that course but helping to save someone tops any award.
