Sec 2 ALP – Water Sensing Robot
The ALP lessons for the Sec 2
A preview of the lessons for our Secondary 2 students.
Students assembling the electronic components to form a device.
They will learn 3 different devices over the weeks. The device can be a buzzer with different ring tone, a temperature sensor or a light sensor.
Students testing the device that they have built.
Students completing the programming codes to make the device operational.
Students presenting their solution to a water-related problem.
They have to share the reasons for their choices of the devices they used. The classmates have to give constructive feedback to the presenters.
Students will programme the SeaPerch to gather data for analysis.
The students will collect the water temperature at different locations of the ecogarden using a temperature sensor and a GPS.
They will then analysed the data to determine which part of the pond is the warmest and which part if the coolest.
